WHAT IS CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME (CTS)?

CTS is an annoying ache and numbness in the palm of the hand. It is normally worse during the night and first thing in the morning. The tunnel in the wrist where the median nerve runs through becomes too narrow for the nerve compressing and irritating it. At night time when you are asleep the wrists become relaxed and bend forwards narrowing the tunnel further. There are a number of reasons why it happens RSI of the wrist is the most common, hormonal changes during pregnancy, obesity and hand trauma.
